I used to be able to search online for the Tassie BDMs. Is this service still available as I can't seem to find it now. I am after the birth of Margaret Rose Annie BARNES (that could be Hannah, not Annie) and if possible a marriage of Margaret to William Lapouple - born in France and born Guillaume. Good morning all., On behalf of a friend I am trying to establish contact with the surname BARWISE originating mainly from Wales and also from Cumberland in England. There is virtually nothing known of the family except that 'possibly two of my father's brothers came out to Australia just before, or just after, the War'. There were six children known of this generation. In England the BARWISE were married into families with surnames of ELIAS, CARMEN, THETFORD, BENNETT etc If anyone has any such connections with the BARWISE name I would be delighted to hear from them. Regards Dave Hibiscus Coast, NZ

A family of KENDRICKS went to Australia from South Africa, probably in the 1930s. They were descended from my husband NORMAN's grandparents, WILLIAM and SOPHIA GEORGINA. Would be very pleased to make contact. Have been researching the TROTT and PRIDEY sides of the story. NEWTONs seem to have gone to New Zealand. Happy New Year from new member, Ivy Trott in Clovelly, near Cape Town, South Africa.
