    3. Hello Colleen Yes I did tried the BMD site for Phyllis's birth and got 4 different births but when I tried for Sydney I got nothing and I hadn't got to looking for Estelle, I have been given a print out that some one had inherit and I had a lot he didn't but now I am getting to what he had that I didn't and want to check it before I use it. Isn't TROVE a great tool for looking for dates, names etc but I find I spend a lot of time just reading the items!!!!! Thank you for your help it must have been the way I put the names in Cheers Sheelagh No virus found in this incoming message. 3. Hi Sheelagh I use the 'wild card' a lot when I'm searching the WA BMD - due to the variations in spelling and transcribing. I didn't know how 'Sidney/Sydney' would be spelled - and I didn't want to look through too many with surname SMITH so for the first name field I typed '%ney' where the '%' sign is the wild card. Works a treat. Trove? Yes - spend a lot of time there myself. Good luck. 3. Have you contacted the Department of Veterans Afairs seeking information about him ? He would most likely have been receiving a DVA pension. The RSL may also be able to help with information. Certainly online records contain no death or death notices for him but if he died at a good age that is to be expected. regards Robyn ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sheelagh Wiles" <swiles@ozemail.com.au> To: <dps-chat@rootsweb.com>; <AUS-WA-PIONEERS@rootsweb.com>; <AUS-WA-NEWSPAPER-EXTRACTS@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, February 27, 2010 3:10 PM Subject: [AUS-WA-PIONEERS] Jack Percy Septimus SPENCER > Hi Everyone > > I am looking for Jack Percy Septimus SPENCER death or burial. > He was born in Bunbury WA in 1907, we have found his army papers and > discharge. > He has also been found in WA 1954 census, but since then he has > disappeared. > > Can any one help to find his death or burial to close his story > It seem that when you search for him he used his full name at all times. > > Cheers > Sheelagh > *************************************** > 1- Only leave in the body of the mail what is relevant to your answer > > 2- Change the SUBJECT LINE to suit the body of your own Mail to List. > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > AUS-WA-PIONEERS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without > the quotes in the subject and the body of the message >
