    1. [AUS-WA-PASSENGERLISTS] how did they arrive?

    3. Hoping someone can shed some light on how a certain tree member, and her children, arrived in Australia. I'm stumped, at the moment. James Heard 1818-1902, married Sarah Stowers 1826-1877, in Chelmsford, Essex, England in 1842. They had 3 children, Mary Ann 1847, George 1849, and Henry 1851. The last known address in England for Sarah and the children was the 1851 census at Great Waltham, Essex, England. In 1850 James Heard was convicted of sheepstealing, and sentenced to 7 years transportation. He arrived in WA in 1853, aboard the Pyrenees. A notation on the Australian Convict Index says he applied for his wife and children to come to WA at the end of 31/7/1857. I have found Jame's address at the time of his death as Hoyles Plain Nr Halbury South Australia, in 1902. Sarah's residence at the time of her death is listed as Heards Hill, South Australia, Australia, in 1877. James and Sarah had 6 more children in Australia between 1858 to 1869, all born in SA. I can find no arrival record for Sarah, and the first 3 children, to Australia. Hoping someone can help, please.
