    1. [AUS-WA-PASSENGERLISTS] Help with passenger list and or vessel
    2. Stephanie Cocks via
    3. Hello Listers, I hope someone can help me please. I have an ancestor who was admitted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, 5 Aug 1891, had been in the colony ( I assume from births of children this means S.A. ) for 12 years. Birthplace : Warwickshire. I KNOW that he and his wife had children b in W.A. between 1870 and 1876, then births in S.A. between May 1878 and Apr 1885. The ship that he arrived on, and I assume this to be W.A. was listed as : J. Hlubken. Googling this name produces nothing.... I think somewhere along the line there was an error in transcribing. Can anyone suggest another alternative, different spelling please? THANK YOU. Steph. Adelaide.

    1. [AUS-WA-PASSENGERLISTS] how did they arrive?
    2. Larry and Deb
    3. Hoping someone can shed some light on how a certain tree member, and her children, arrived in Australia. I'm stumped, at the moment. James Heard 1818-1902, married Sarah Stowers 1826-1877, in Chelmsford, Essex, England in 1842. They had 3 children, Mary Ann 1847, George 1849, and Henry 1851. The last known address in England for Sarah and the children was the 1851 census at Great Waltham, Essex, England. In 1850 James Heard was convicted of sheepstealing, and sentenced to 7 years transportation. He arrived in WA in 1853, aboard the Pyrenees. A notation on the Australian Convict Index says he applied for his wife and children to come to WA at the end of 31/7/1857. I have found Jame's address at the time of his death as Hoyles Plain Nr Halbury South Australia, in 1902. Sarah's residence at the time of her death is listed as Heards Hill, South Australia, Australia, in 1877. James and Sarah had 6 more children in Australia between 1858 to 1869, all born in SA. I can find no arrival record for Sarah, and the first 3 children, to Australia. Hoping someone can help, please.
