Due to the recent unfortunate passing of my mother,I wish to trace her line of family, but don't have much info.I'm after any info of HARRY SMITH HITCHCOCK(b1858) and parents (he married Rosa ?b1863) Even if you have anything trivial I'd appreciate hearing from you. Thanks

Hello Cheryl, I could not find a Hitchcock marrying in W.A. to 1905 to a Rosa. However did find this. Henry Hitchcock and Rosa nee Brown had two children born in Kalgoorlie who appear to be twins. Ladysmith and Pretoria. Both born in 1901. Ladysmith died aged 1 day. Also had a look for any other deaths for children with these parents. Lily Maud Hitchcock died in W.A. , same parents as above, she was aged 12 yrs. Born in Adelaide. I will have a look on the Sth. Aust. records for a possible marriage of this pair, do you think they could be the ones you are looking for? Christine in W.A. P.S. records for W.A. on the discs I have finish at 1905. No further birth Indexes have been released for this state but we can search on micro fiche deaths to , I think it is 1980 and marriages, I think they go to 1967.

Back again Cheryl, Had a look at the Sth. Aust. discs. Henry Hitchcock aged 21 yrs, single, son of Isaach married 12th July 1880 Rose Brown aged 19 yrs. daughter of George H. Brown at the residence of George H. Brown Adelaide. I have located two children for them, but have not tried variations on the spelling of the surname. Ethel May B. 8th Jan 1882 and Lillie Maude b. 9th Jan 1886. This is probably Harry birth. B. 3rd Nov 1858 son of Isiah Hitchcock and Caroline nee Zobel. This may be Rosa. Rosa Brown b. 2nd Sept. 1861 daughter of George Brown and Ann nee Guerin. Will leave you to ponder this info.
