Descendants of Richard EATON and his two wives Lavinia and Mary Martha (both nee Vile) are invited to attend. Richard and Mary arrived in WA on the SS Raleigh on May 31, 1852 with Lavinia's daughter Jane (m. HICKS), and their own children Richard, Alfred, William, John and Alice Mary (m. FARMER). Four more children were born in WA: Anna Sarah (m. BEARD), Henry, Mary Ann (m. MEARS), and Rebecca Maria (died in infancy). Richard was a police constable (or trooper) at Toodyay. STOKES), Mary (m. FLETCHER), Anne Margaret (m. COCKMAN), Emma (m. ALDERTON), Michael (m. Rebecca OVENS, the writer's lineage), Elizabeth (m. LEVERMAN), Richard (m. RHODES), William, and John. They are still officially listed as missing and said to have been on board when torpedoed by a United States submarine on July 1, 1942. The men came from Allied countries throughout the world and are missing from Rabaul, New Britain, Kavieng, New Ireland and surrounding islands of the Territory New Guinea (now Papua New Guinea).
