Hello to you all. I am tying to trace the possible descendants of William Angus Notman b 1860 Hexham Northumberland England . In a letter to his sister Grace in 1896 he tells of his intention to go to Australia if he continues to have problems finding work in India. Nothing is known of him after this date to the present day holder of the letter. He would like to pass the letter on to his "family" Needless to say i am interested also in all Notmans.I have GRO indexes for most English and welsh BDM's from late 1837 to 1965 so if any one needs anindex for a Notman i might have it. I am from Nottingham ,family back to 1778 there,but know that the roots of the family are back in Scotland. Would be interested to hear from any Notmans . Good hunting.
