Tel: (03) 9789 1455. mailto:[email protected] CITY BEACH VERGE PICK-UP DILEMMA : An old bevelled mirror in a wooden frame (about 2ft x 3ft in size) was inadvertently left on the front verge of a house in Penryn Avenue, City Beach, on the night of Wednesday/Thursday, September 3/4. The frame was dark, with carved flowers. The mirror was placed on the verge for a short time by the writer while moving into her new house. A verge pick-up was taking place in the same week. The letters "GFA" over the top-half are thought to stand for the above association and was awarded to those who had baled out from an aeroplane into the sea and were rescued.
