Alice Kate was a Salvation Army officer who was sent from Tasmania to the WA Goldfields in 1898 where she met and married James. It was recently discovered that Ira was buried in an unmarked grave. Jeffery and Mary Jane arrived at Port Adelaide on the Lady Ann on October 12, 1857. The couple had 14 children. The family tree is being compiled but missing information about Ellen (m. Rev. JASMINE'S OWNERS : Wedge Island residents are trying to find the owners of a black labrador / retriever cross dog that went missing during its owners' holiday on the island about January 1 this year. The family extended their stay and searched in vain for the dog before reluctantly returning home. Some 18 days later the dog was found in searing heat in a disused 8ft well. High tide had raised the water table enough each day to allow the dog access to small amounts of water. Jasmine is engraved on her collar and it is hoped to return the dog to her owners. Tom SCOTLAND has recently released the sixth printing of his book, "Voice from the Stars, a Pathfinder's Story" which follows 40 of these men into the hell of air war over Europe and relives the drama of those days.
