They had five children: Leslie Herbert was born in Fremantle in 1895, and four daughters were all born in Cottesloe: Ethel May (1898), Eileen Winifred (1904), Nella Constance (1908), who married QUARTERMAINE, and Phylis Jean (1913). William and Mary arrived in WA on the Phoebe DUNBAR on August 30, 1853. William served in the 67th Regiment of Foot and was employed as a warder with the convict establishment from 1859 to 1874 before settling in Boyanup as a farmer. Their children were Elizabeth, William, Ellen, James, Mary Ann and Charles. Robert arrived in WA on the Eena in 1863 with his first wife Mary and four children, but Mary died soon after they arrived. Robert's second marriage was to Sarah YORK, of Gingin, and they had five children. When Sarah died about the age of 27, Robert married her sister, Martha YORK, and they had several children.
