I am in the process of starting a new section of my website where transcripts may be posted of family letters relating to UK families, either sent internally in UK or from/to other parts of the World. I have already tested the interest in the idea on two of my mailing list and found considerable interest and a number of people willing to share their family letters. The idea behind the site is that many family letters include references to unknown relatives or unrelated people who might be known to some other researcher. I have, myself, been the recipient of such information in relation to my own family and my wife's, and it has proved extremely useful in my research. In addition some of these letters contain information on local occurrences, views on national events and other information of general historical interest. Some of us may also have old postcards collected for their picture side which include names, addresses and short notes to family and friends. Details of these would also be welcome for inclusion.
