Hi List, finally tracked down the correct Winifred FISHER, 2nd wife? of Albert. Any connections, anyone? Winifred was also known as Winifred CASEMENTO, passed away aged 83 on 20th March 1963; it is under this name that she was buried in the Karrakatta Cemetery. Albert died 1942, Winifred was still using the name Fisher when she corresponded with the Defence Dept in 1952. It was through purchase of Albert's burial application record that lead to this vital clue! [$A5.50] Winifred was the grantee of the grave, Alfred had been exhumed a few years after his death and moved to the War Graves. When I couldn't find any Fisher buried in this grave on the online records I used the email contact. I got a prompt and helpful reply telling me of Winifred's other name and she was buried alone in her plot. ChristineR Vic Aust
