The tour takes about two hours and includes visits to the colonial hospital and YAL building. Meet: St Mary's Cathedral at 2pm. Take a walk through Harvey House, Perth's first public maternity hospital and see displays including an iron lung, early X-ray equipment, herbalist medicines, flying doctor display with aircraft, dental and medical surgeries, a KEMH ward from an early era ind a display of nursing during wartime. VETERANS BRUCE ROCK REUNION : The Bruce Rock Vietnam Veterans Group, with the Bruce Rock Shire Council, invites all veterans and interested people to a reunion on Saturday, November 5. It marks the fifth anniversary and relighting of the candle at the Vietnam Veterans memorial peace window in St Peter's Church. Program includes a concert at the Federation amphitheatre on Friday night, markets, health advisory groups, brass bands, service, free baraecue and drinks. Melon Hill has a plaque at the top briefly outlining its history as a World War II battery however it seems neither of these names is official. Information is being gathered for a submission to have them recognised. Any comment or information on the origin of the names or of their history appreciated. The writer visits his grave on a regular basis and wants Gordon's family to know it is well maintained. Gordon was the son of Richard and Cecily Margaret WILSON of South Perth.
