Their children were Anne (born UK 1881), Rose (UK 1882), Joseph John (UK 1884), John (NSW 1886), Ellen (NSW 1888) and George Charles (Vic 1890). Anne married Patrick HOGAN in Coolgardie in 1899. Their children, Francis Joseph and Rose May, were born in Burbanks in 1900 and 1902. Anne's sister, Rose married James BROWNE in Kalgoorlie in 1903. Any information is also sought about the second marriage of their widowed mother, Rose BIRCH, to George BAKER in WA (ca 1892-1900). Rose and George had a daughter, Alice. Contact: M. W. The service will commemorate the 82 Australian servicemen who lost their lives during the Occupation of Japan 1946-52 and are buried in the Yokohama British War Cemetery. April 28 is the 54th anniversary of the ratification of the San Francisco Peace Treaty with Japan in 1954 which ended the Occupation. His bronze memorial plaque, scroll and 1914-18 star medal were sent to the writer's grandmother Eliza Ann ANDREW (nee WISE) in 1922-23 and were last seen in Albany after her death in 1947. Local ex-service personnel, politicians, young people and community members will join the Deputy Mayor of Claremont. All are welcome to lay poppies or wreaths. FREMANTLE CALL : Appealing for ex-National Servicemen to join the Fremantle Anzac Day parade as a National Service contingent. The initial parade last year mustered 15 and an invitation is again extended to any "Nasho". Looking for those men who rendered service during 1951 to 1959, also 20-year-olds who served in the army from 1965 to 1972. These servicemen are now eligible for the Australian Defence Medal. The main Anzac Day service will be held at 11.30am preceded by a small march at 11am. A Lone Pine from Rockingham Senior High School will be unveiled together with another seedling of the Woolemi Pine presented from the Yanchep/Two Rocks RSL to the Yanchep National Park.
