I am trying to find out about the above and his Australian relatives or descendents - IAN CUNNINGHAM was born in 1908 or 1909 in England and went to Australia in the late 1920s. He served in the Australian Army during WW2, spending the majority of the time as a PoW, having been captured in Greece in 1941. He spent a short time back in England after the War where he married HILDA FRIEND at Reigate, Surrey in 1945 before returning to Western Australia. His son, PETER IAN, was born in Kalgoorlie in 1947 but left for the UK with his mother a few years later. Ian remained in Western Australia and remarried twice, firstly to Mary Carmel Tate, nee Dawson, on 8 April 1963 in Perth and then to Kathleen Penglase, nee Bowdidge, on 11 July 1969 in Narrogin. Ian died aged 88 at the Pingelly District Hospital on 14 April 1998. His death certificate shows him to have had two children - the aforementioned Peter Ian and KEIRAN then aged 36.
