She married Charles Thomas HUGHES, who was born about 1901. Patricia's brother, Harold (Harry) ALLINGTON, married Ada Thackrah and her sister, Johanna Maud ALLINGTON, married Thomas MALACARI. BAKER (SUNGEI LEMBING) : : Vincent BAKER, general manager of Pahang Consolidated in Sungei Lembing, Malaysia, died in the jungle during the Japanese Occupation in World War II. Vincent's old house in Sungei Lembing has been turned into a museum. His Australian wife and three children returned to Australia before the war. BRADLEY : George BRADLEY was born in Cheshire in 1816. He was charged in 1850 with poaching and wounding and was sentenced to be deported to Australia. George arrived in WA on the Sea Park in 1854 leaving behind a wife and three children. Later, George had two children born in WA to Jane TIANEY — Lucy (born 1856) and John (1860). Lucy Bradley married William McBRIDE in Albany in 1871 and their children included Richard (1871), George (1874), Mary Jane (m. Fred JENNINGS), Lucy (1878), Ellen (m. Walter WING), Fanny (b. 1882), William (died infancy) and Phoebe Florence, who married in Britain in 1906. William McBRIDE's second marriage was to Sarah MELLUISH in 1888. Significant events include the christening of "Isobell Mia" on October 2 (from words on the christening cake), a combined 20th and 80th birthday, and photos of houses at RoseLea Estate. COUNTRY CALLING GERALDTON-HAWKS SENIOR BASKETBALL CLUB : The club will celebrate 30 years of basketball in the GABA on January 26-28. The day will honour the grand finalists of 1962, 1963, 1964 and particularly the 1965 premiership team. Calling players of all grades, coaches, support and administration staff and members who were involved with the club from 1960 to 1970. The program starts at noon with a three-course buffet lunch. Seeking photographs (to be copied and returned) and please bring along your memorabilia. This is not a male only function. Partners are welcome to attend and share the memories. The striking sculpture, featuring three big towers, stands on the corner of Hawke Avenue and Great Eastern Highway, Wundowie. Artist Stuart Elliott will be there. Morning tea to follow at the iron and steel foundry. All welcome. The program also includes an exhibition of local art and tours of a foundry in action. The date is significant because the first pour at the Wundowie pig iron furnaces took place on January 22, 1948. He is searching for photographs, diaries, correspondence, letters, maps, memorabilia, etc. of the men of the 51st to be used in the forthcoming rewrite, which has an anticipated 600 pages, with nominal rolls.
