Information is sought from those who remember these bombing attacks and allied activities and how they influenced our population, (i) What were the psychological or physical ramifications on individuals, couples, families, hospitals and schools and so on? In 1940 he was interned with most other aliens in UK. First he was put in internment camps and then the Pioneer Corps but spent the later part of the war in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) alien corps stationed in Italy until demobbed in 1946. Various nationalities were interned. Interested to speak to anyone who was interned or was in an alien corps in England during World War II — regardless of their nationality — to help with family history research.
