I work full time for the charity Save the Children UK as a Project Manager. I have been researching my family tree for about 6 years and have managed to get back to circa 1800 on the Parker side (not that easy as we Parker's are very common - in name!). After a trip to Switzerland to visit my aunt I am keen to research my Nash connections. I also have Australian connections with the name Hatton (my grand father John Edward Hatton having been born on 6 5 1894, in Hawthorne, Melbourne). Currently I am looking for William George Nash The following leads are all I have from ‘hazy’ family memories: William George Nash went to Africa and/or the gold coast and emigrated to Perth in 1925. I (Robert Parker) couldn't find any trace of him in Perth Central Library, Australia in two attempts (1992 and 2000). He had a son Martin (born 9.8.1947). William (or Martin) was fair haired, wife a school teacher. I have a photo of William and Martin. William left the family when Martin was 5 years old. During the war the family sent food parcels to Doris Nash (my grandmother, William’s sister), including sweets, sausages and honey. Then Doris (and the family) lost touch. Any suggestions for trying to trace these ancestors through any local newspapers or Australian based researchers or other resources gratefully received
