On the night of Tuesday, August 8, people can decide to have their census information, along with their name and address, kept securely in a vault by NAA for 99 years. In 2105 the vault will be opened and the 2006 census information for people who agreed to be in the time capsule will be available. This will help descendants trace their family trees and will be available for any other research purpose. BROADWAY : Descendants of Thomas and Florence BROADWAY (nee WYZE) are sought for family history. They had four daughters — Em, Rhoda, Flo and Rose. Thomas and Florence lived in Beverley in 1921 when their daughter Rhoda married Herbert MONGER of Beverley and moved to Midland. Have no information on daughters Flo and Em. BROOME CUP : The Broome Turf Club is seeking information and photographs about Broome Cup winners from 1894 to 1984 including the names of the president, horse owner, trainer and jockey. Personal correspondence from soldier-architect Lt-Gen. Sir Joseph John Talbot HOBBS (1864-1938) may remain in WA. FREMANTLE TALLY CLERKS : The membership of the Fremantle Tally Clerks Union of Workers (1912-1986) is being researched and a photographic history of former members compiled. Anyone wishing to submit a photo (to be copied and returned) is advised no personal details are required apart from full name. Also, seeking the whereabouts of an old "Membership Register" believed to be pre-1933. It was small, heavy and thick. Guest speaker Les GREEN will give a talk on the Round House, jailers and inmates. Organised by the Women's Auxiliary of the WA Historical Society, these meetings are open to everyone and are held in the Citiplace Conference Room, Perth Railway Station Concourse. LAWRENCE : The City of Mandurah RSL holds a passport for travel to Papua in the name of Errol Richard Delmar LAWRENCE who was born in Goodward, South Australia on March 9, 1892. LEIGHTON : Seeking information about Harry LEIGHTON who was born in 1874 in Peterborough, UK, son of Daniel and Mary Ann LEIGHTON (nee PROCTER). Harry was one of 11 children and emigrated to Australia before 1901. Question: is the Harry LEIGHTON who died in Shenton Park on July 8,1957 one and the same? He was married to Jessie ROWE who predeceased him in 1924 and was a popular peace activist in the 1915-1920 timeframe. Reilly Phillip Reilly of Tipperary, Ireland and Margaret Ryan of Limerick were married at Ryan-ville, Wonnerup in WA on February 6,1861. They had 10 children: Ellen (m. Francis Fox), Margaret (m. Thomas Hastie), Bridget (m. Dennis Flood); Phillip, Mary Anne, Agnes Dianna (m. Henry Walker), Edmond, Thomas, Catherine (m. Thomas Kearney) and Lucy (m. James Larkin/James McGowan). The seven eldest children had different variations on the birth registration including Riley, Riely, Riljey. The three youngest were registered as Reilly. St Matthew's served as garrison church to the 10th Light Horse during World War I. There will be a wreath-laying as part of the service. Afternoon tea will follow. BOYUP BROOK/SANDAKAN TRIP : The Ex-POW Association's bus trip to Boyup Brook for the Sandakan Memorial Service on September 11 will leave Perth at 9.30am. Cost — members: $110. Non-members: $210.
