I'll give the Police Historical Society a try, in that case. I think they will be very interesting indeed. I noted that Eynon was not listed in the Wise directories for the previous two years to his listing in Piccadilly as a constable, so perhaps he was in a police barracks in that period. It will be interesting to find out a bit about him. I hadn't previously known anything between the time he left his wife and seven children in Melbourne in the 1890s and his death in 1934, so I've got quite a big gap to fill.
