Hi Annette, My SOPER connection is SOPER Edward b 1835, Mary Tavy, Devon. Parents SOPER William and Elizabeth (nee BABBAGE). He married 1. EVA Adelaide in Devon, died South Australia, 1860, 2. BARNES Ellen, 3. WALSH Annie, last two in Victoria He died Victoria in 1877, some children went to Western Australia. Thanks for your reply Pat. My GGGrandmother was Jane Mary SOPER b. 1811 in East Teignmouth, Devon. Her parents were Thomas SOPER and Joanna GOODYEAR from East Teignmouth. Haven't gone very far with research. My Sopers didn't emigrate to Australia as afar as I know.
