Some of the family later moved to WA where Rose married again — to George Baker. Their daughter Alice was born 1893-1900. DUTCH MIGRANTS' HOSTEL : A hostel was established in Rivervale for Dutch migrants in the 1950s by the Catholic Church under the guidance of Father VIJGEN and Father PIETERS. Annie left London to deal with her inheritance in WA and arrived in Albany some time in July 1923. FAMILY REUNIONS SCOTT : A "cousins" reunion for descendants of John Robert SCOTT and Phoebe Ann HYMUS will be held at Landsdale Farm School, Landsdale Road, Darch, on Sunday, June 25 at 11am. John already had eight children to his first wife who died in 1886 when he married Phoebe in Mandurah in 1887. John and Phoebe's children were: William, Winifred, Dora, Vernon (died of wounds in France in 1917), Sidney, Essie, Donald, Minna, Eunice, Ena, Verna and adopted daughter, Joyce. John joined the police force in 1884 and was the first policeman at Rockingham and then moved to Pinjarra in 1886 where the family lived. Mr J. J. LLOYD retired at age 65 as State manager of the Postal Department soon after work started in February 1925. HORSPOOL : John HORSPOOL was aged 14 in 1829 when he arrived in the Swan River Colony with his sister Mary Ann, aged 16, from Nottingham, Britain.
