All welcome to attend. The memorial is for all the babies who were buried in the babies section of the cemetery from as early as 1914 through to the 1960s. The section lay unacknowledged and became invisible. Previous fundraising in the community gave the Friends of the Cemetery the money to change that and with the exception of the plaque and seat, all work was done by local tradesmen. The names and number of the many babies buried there is unknown and for that reason names are not listed.
