Does anybody have a John W ROBINSON in their tree or database? I am researching a Margaret Catherine BRENTON, who was born in Comaum (near Penola) in South Australia in 1892, married her first cousin once removed Emanuel Murdoch LAMOND in Perth in 1919, and after his death in 1934, married this John W ROBINSON in East Coolgardie in 1934. I lose track of this couple from that point, although I have come across some possibilities for John. They would surely be deceased by now. In the WWII Nominal Roll, there is a John William ROBINSON with a NOK Margaret ROBINSON, who was living in Kalgoorlie at the time of his enlistment in 1942. He was born in 1907 in Mullewa (Geraldton district), so if this one is the husband of Margaret nee BRENTON, he would have been 15 years younger than her. In the WA Post Office Directories there is a John W ROBINSON living in Kalgoorlie at Porter St in 1939 & 1940, and then at Egan St in 1949 - could these be him? There were other John W ROBINSONs around the same time, who lived in Leederville, Fremantle and Guildford, so I need to sort out who was who. According to the WA Reverse Marriages, there was only one John Robinson who married a woman with the first name Margaret, which is the couple in question. In the WA BDM index there is a John William ROBINSON born in Kalgoorlie in 1896 to Thomas Valentin ROBINSON and Ellen DWYER. This is also a possibility. So in essence, I would like to hear from anyone with a John W ROBINSON in their tree, even just to rule a possibilty out. I am also interested in the surnames BRENTON, LAMOND, GRAY and in relation to these, PLUMMER, CASSELLS, WOOD and FORD. >From a wet & miserable Sydney Michelle Giza-Vink
