Dear listers., In a (seemingly) never-ending search for ancestors or - for goodness sake - relatives, I am constantly trying to contact anyone with interests in the above surnames from the WA area... and even VIC and NT, but mainly WA. My ancestors arrived early in the 19th century from mainly England and Scotland as convicts. I have a couple only f known cousins in Qld and a large family-tree data base and would delight in anyone contacting me who may have a connection. As a starter the names that are prominent at this stage are... James Patrick MAIN., James McNab MAIN., Daniel David MAIN., John MAIN., Robert James Newman., Sarah Elizabeth NEWMAN., Theodore PIKE., Matilda PIKE., Sarah BUCKLEY., Mary HITCHEN etc etc. All of these fine folks managed to have families of biblical proportions and therefore it could be assumed there are consequently many descendants.
