I do not get Saturdays paper so never know they are on etc and then by the time they appear in here most of them have been and gone Just curious why we don't get them earlier? Her first marriage was to Edmund WRIGHT Who arrived on the James Pattison in 1834. Their children were: Emma WRIGHT (m. Richard MEARS / Edmund STIRLING), Ellen (m. Charles QUARTERMAINE) and Alfred. Caroline's second marriage was to William DUNHAM who arrived at Fremantle on the Britomart in 1838. Caroline And William settled in York on Brocklesby Farm. Their children were: Annie (m. Thomas Harrison BLECHYNDEN), William, George (m. Fanny WOODS), Sarah, Edgar (m. Jane TUNSTALL), Lewis (m. Louisa YOUNG), Walter, and Emma (m. Jessie BLECHYNDEN). The family arrived in WA from Victoria in 1901 and lived in Kalgoorlie and Norseman where William Worked as miner. In the 1920s they became part of the Group Settlers Scheme in Manjimup. Horace Melbourne (Mel) GRAY WX10820 grew up at Naraling and Geraldton. He served in World War II and was shipped to the Middle East in 1941 on the US 13 Convoy. He trained with the 2/21st before joining the 2/16th and returned in 1942 on the Kosciusko via Bombay. Mel went to New Guinea and was killed at Brigade Hill on September 8,1942.
