I am new to this list and I am trying to trace death details for 2 KELLYs who are ancestors of my wife. I have searched the WA Pioneers index unsuccessfully. I think that the deaths are more likely to have occurred after 1905. May I please ask SKS to see if they can find any death records for 2 sons of Daniel KELLY (1844-1920) and Catherine Mary DONNELLY (c1850-1913) both of whom were born at Bungaree, Victoria, and later (dont know when) moved to WA. I make this request from Brisbane, Qld. The first son is Thomas KELLY, born 20 Apr 1871, who married Cecelia HAGERTY and had 5 children, namely, Daniel, Mary, John, Ellen and Patrick. The second son is Daniel KELLY, born 1 Dec 1873, who married Florence McDONALD and had 2 children, namely, Catherine and Jack. My wife has a vague recollection from family stories that the 2 KELLY men may have lived and/or died in or near Wagin, WA. If BDM records are not the way to go, is there any cemetery authorities at Wagin or nearby that I might approach? Many thanks in advance. Hi David Try a search at the WA State Library Catalogue http://henrietta.liswa.wa.gov.au/search/ If you use Noalimba as a search term a photo will come up, of a group of people standing outside the Centre in 1969 The State Record Office would have more info. http://www.sro.wa.gov.au/collection/passenger.html There is probably an email contact on the website where you could ask for info. A bit of general info http://www.dsr.wa.gov.au/pubs/Mediarelease/noalimba%20consult.asp Searching on Google brings up bits and pieces Good luck Annette ---------------------------------------- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter for private users. Hi All, Just a note to advise that I have begun a new Online Genealogy Forum It includes a section called Australian Genealogy Classifieds There are many people and organisations out there that have produced publications, but have no where to advertise it. I have recently started a new forum which has For Sale section for people to advertise their publications. Books, CDs, Microfiche, programs, calendars etc. It is for new and used items. There is also a "Wanted Section" for those who are seeking a particular item. It is for Genealogy items only and societies and research centres are welcome to post their items too. It is a non profit forum and has no profit gain from adverts. Others please have a look, as there may be something of interest. The forum is only 3 days old and growing rapidly - with over 80 new members joining after seeing what was there. The interest has been so great today sections for every State and Teritory in Australia we added, with the addition of a section for NZ. Please visit - http://www.highcountryheritage.org/phpBB2 Regards Dianne

In 1899 it was suggested that a rail passenger service to the course be provided by routing the proposed 8-mile long railway to Bonnie Vale via the racecourse. The railway was surveyed but never built.
