Hi everyone Going through some of my late father's things I ran across a cutting from The Standard dated Mar 27-Apr 1 1936 about the GRASMERE and district school sports held at BUSHFIELD oval headlined PURNIM WEST WINS CUP administrative names mentioned SUTHERLAND,GRAY,HENDERSON,GLASGOW,JELLIE,McCOLL,CLARKE,JENKINS, The results being determined on some sort of handicap system that I cant fathom with PURNIM WEST 1st MAILER'S FLAT 2nd WANGOOM 3rd and then GRASMERE,PURNIM,COORAMOOK,WOODFORD and YARPTURK being a Melbourneite I'm not familiar with these names but "YARPTURK'' is this one for real? surnames of the competitors include Sylvia PARKINSON and Walter BEASLEY, my dad, who were joint school champions other names include SEDLEY,HUTCHINS,JOHNSON,McCOSH,BELLMAN,McCLEOD,HENDERSON, BARLEY,BILLINGTON,LEE,TRIGG,PRIMMER,BURLEY,McPHAIL,THOMAS, KINDSON,McKENZIE,WINES,McDONALD,WILLIAMS,BARLEY,MAHOOD,JONES, ASKEW,SMITH,LYNCH,HYLAND,McCLEAN,HAMMOND,CROTHERS,O'NEAL, BEARD, and DAVIES bon apetit Chris Beasley
