hi Listers, I am searching for refrences to REIDY families in early western District history or genealogies. I have an ancestor Ann RIEDY, who married Edmund FINN (aka Garryowen) but there is no trace of her arrival on the shipping lists. Her death certificate indicates an arrival of about 1842 as does he sister's, MArcella. Ann's marriage certificate has Eliza Riedy as a witness and MArcella's death cetificate has Honora Ready as the informant. Based on a range of other information there is some reason to believe they had connections in the Western District. A search of all Reidys in the immigration lists indicate a number either landed in Geelong, Portland or Belfast, or made their way there to be with relatives.
