HI your connection with the Unicorn Hotel sparked my interest. My William Pobjoy was also an owner of the Unicorn Hotel, I don't know who he brought it from, but he took over the licence on the 19th Dec 1884. Three months before his wife died in Jan 1887 he transferred the licence to his son Harry. Harry was as far as I know publican till 1895 when he took over the Albion Hotel - which he renamed the Golden City - yep that one in Sturt Street. He was publican there till he died in 1917. Were you aware that they are restoring the facade and building apartments behind it? I'm waiting to see it. The facade has been classified by the national trust, but you are probably aware of that.
