Hi All, I registered family.com.au quite a few years ago (prior to researching my family tree)for an email and family web service. Due to various reasons I am only starting to build this service now. However after being involved in researching my own family tree I have realised that there doesn't seem to be any local online resource that can a)allow users to build their own family based portals with email update alerts etc. b) An online genealogy database of users which is searchable c) Dynamically generated graphical family trees. They all seem to be US based. I am considering building it into family.com.au . Would members of this list use something like that? What is the most popular tool locally for digitally recording genealogy? If I'm missing something please let me know. I realise there are a lot of local sites with links and the occasional discussion list but that's it.
