    3. Greetings listers, I have found an entry on Digger for a family member, giving "Melb E Gaol" as the place for a death which occurred in 1904. I was curious about this, and when I looked further, I found that this same place was given as the place of death for about 16 other people between about 1902 and 1904. Where was this gaol, and what is known about it? I assume it wasn't Pentridge. Cheers Julie H.

    2. Hi Julie, Probably Old Melbourne Gaol. http://www.nattrust.com.au/trust_properties/melbourne_and_surrounds/old_melbourne_gaol Try the PROV site for details about the Gaol including former names, but it is on the eastern side of Melbourne CBD.
