Re travel to W'bool by horse and cart. I would just like to say that a decent pony and trap may have done the journey, on a good road, in 3 hours, but a horse and cart was terribly slow and the roads may have been just goat tracks in 1858 - especially if it was a wet season! Cheers Philippa
