    3. Good morning, I am assisting a non-gene neighbour put his mother's family together for her, but have come up with a bit of a problem. We have a James Joseph Hill - who was born in Casterton in 1858, the son of James & Mary Jane Hook (death cert). He married Mary Jane Craig in Adelaide 1881. Problems: 1. The birth Indexes say that the mother's name was 'Mary Ann', not 'Mary Jane'. 2. Looking at the Indexes, there seems to be more than one Hill family in that area with the father being a 'James Hill' & the mother a 'Louisa Jane' or 'Jane' or 'Mary Jane' or 'Mary Ann' Hook/e. These children were born in Casterton 1857 to 1888. Can anyone suggest the best way to separate these into the correct family groups? I've also looked at the deaths indexes to try & separate, but 'Jane' can mean either 'Louisa Jane' or 'Mary Jane'. There is a James Hill marrying a Jane Hook in 1870 Victoria on the indexes. I've checked SA - nothing. I would cost a mint to go for all the certificates so any assistance or ideas would be muchly appreciated. Thanking you, BonnieB Brisbane
