Greetings listers, Does anyone know anything of a person named Tuckett (sorry first name not known) who came to Australia as third mate on ‘Ward Chipman’ in 1841? He worked for some years as a merchant in Melbourne. Later, in the 1860’s I think, he took up a run called Springbank near Casterton. I am not connected to the Tuckett family; my interest is in the ship ‘Ward Chipman’ as my great great grandparents James and Bridget Rapkins were passengers. I am trying to trace descendants of anyone else who was aboard the ship on that voyage. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you Julie M. Hopper. No virus found in this outgoing message.
