    3. Colleen, If you go to the PROV site at http://www.access.prov.vic.gov.au and access the Immigration Records, the Tornado lists 3 Catherine Murphys arriving on it in July 1855. Was it called Redruth out near the falls? And if so where do I go to find records of marriages or the Passenger list for the Ship the Tornado. I am also looking for a place called Hillgay that was owned by the Hentys' I think. Trying to find where my great grandmother came to from Ireland as an assisted passenger and where she and my great grandfather were married. She was Catherine Murphy and he was James Mahoney. 1850's I'm sure. 1. [AUS-VIC-WESTERN-DISTRICT] Redruth & Hilgay locations (near Coleraine)

    3. Hello Colleen Redruth was a township reserve where the Hamilton-Coleraine Road crossed the Wannon River just above the Wannon Falls. Hillgay Station was very close the Coleraine, running to the south-west from the township. See the map on my page at... http://www.ballaratgenealogy.org.au/digby/past_nth.htm I am not aware that the HENTY's owned "Hilgay", they had "Merino Downs", "Muntham", Connell's Run" & "Sandford" all marked on the map.
