There is also a Quamby about 1/2 an hour up the road from Cloncurry to Normanton in Qld (just for information). I mention this because one of my ancestors was born in Julia Creek which is also only a couple of hours from Cloncurry but, I found that she was born in Julia Creek in Sth Aust.
