Hi List A lady from the UK has contacted me (via the Ballarat Genealogy website listing on Byaduk) looking for descendants of Samuel CLARKE & Maria PRATT. The couple arrived in Portland aboard the Duke of Richmond in 1853 and moved to Byaduk in 1863. They were originally from Framlingham Suffolk UK Their daughter Sarah married William GIBBONS also of Byaduk. Son Abraham CLARKE is in the Byaduk Pioneer photo. Samuel is believed to have moved to Warracknabeal around 1875. Any assistance would be appreciated. Kind Regards Merron Riddiford

Hi I have I believe a connection to that family, my grt aunty Louisa Trotter married Jacob Clarke, I believe he was the son Samuel Clarke and Maria Pratt. Jacob was born 1863 in Byaduk.
