Dear Sally, >When you do a look up for this death, search under Timboon also. Camperdown >was originally named Timboon..........that's why Timboon House is in >Camperdown.....but I am not sure of the year it changed it's name. Timboon >(the now one??!!) settled in 1875 but didn't take on the name straight away. I've never heard that before. It was certainly called Camperdown when our McGARVIE family were leasing their first land in the region in the 1850s. When I had to redraw Lands Department plans from the originals, it was only ever called Camperdown.
