Hello all I am interested in acquiring any information on John LOWRIE who came over from England to Portland (probably around the 1860s). He was married to Agnes ? and they eventually made their way to Echuca and the farmland areas. John worked as a labourer. Their daughter, and my gggrandmother Christina LOWRIE, was born around 1860 in Hamilton not far from Portland...they all must have all moved to Echuca as a young family. Christina married Robert DRAFFIN (b. 1850, Bailieborough, Cavan County, Ireland) in 1879. Kindest Regards Belinda Turvey
