I'm seeking any information and family contact for one Angus MARTIN b.2 May 1865 in Portland, died 1964 Portland. This man's remarkable life mirrored Victoria's history for a century. He left Portland a "monument" to his wife in the form of the Ruth Martin Memorial Centre, on the corner next to the Star Theatre in Julia St. Portland (from distant memory.) His son, Sir Norman MARTIN, was once Victoria's Agent General in London. "Angy" dictated a controversial autobiography to one of his sons which was, "primarily for legal reasons", only distributed privately. I intend editing it now that any potential litigants have passed on. Is the Ruth Martin Centre still in existence and operating as intended? Where might I find more details on Sir Norman Martin's political career? TIA Barry Dunne
