Hi Aileen Most of the Landings along the Glenelg were called after the people who had weekend fishing camps or shacks there. People came from as far away as Camperdown, Terang, Warrnambool, Mortlake, Merino, Casterton, Portland, so it's quite on the cards that you're right. I think the only way to prove it would be to get on to the rangers at Nelson and get them to have a look at their records. The camps were on lease to different individuals before the government withdrew the leases and pulled down the shacks, and the rangers have a list of the lessees and their contact details. Wilson Hall is named after my mob. BTW - I'm not trying to hog this list, I'm just trying to get people talking!!!
