Hi All, John Frederick James PALMER b 1884 Yarraville, married Franceska Alma FECHNER at the Presbyterian Church, Dimboola in 1919. They resided at Dimboola for a number of years, where 3 of their 4 children where born. From there they moved to Horsham, where they purchased a small acerage where they grew fruit and grapevines, which were dried before they were sold. The property was irrigated from the Wimmera River. A factory was built and the crop of tomatoes was processed into tomato sauce. "Palmer's Tomato Sauce" was used at the Horsham and Dimboola Shows and the Wimmera Regatta. Fred died in 1948 and Frances died in 1969. Both are buried at Dandenong. Any information re Fred and Frances, during their time in Dimboola and Horsham would be most appreciated.
