Wondering if anyone on this list is researching the following: Edmond QUINN and wife Bridget DALY arrived Geelong 1857 then purchased a farm in Woodford, staying there for some 30 years before moving to Colac. Have info. on their lives in Colac, but none on the farm in Woodford. Can anyone help with this period or location of farm? There was also a family of Quinn's living at Casterton during this time, and I believe they may have been relatives. CONLEY/CONNOLLY/CONNLEY - Francis and wife Ann HINCHEY arrived Portland 1855 on board General Hewitt. With their 2 daughters(one born on ship) they were billeted at Portland Immigration Depot. Francis was assigned to Mr.J.McNaughton & Co., Portland as a labourer. They moved around Portland-Belfast (PtFairy) Koroit - Yapturk - Tower Hill for some 17 years before moving to Gippsland.Francis worked for some time at "Quamby/Quamberly Station" .Several children were born in Tower Hill -was this a large settlement? Would be pleased to hear from anyone researching these families. With thanks Kathleen. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
