    1. [AUS-VIC-West-Dist] Muchelney, SOM - Baulch, Biddlecombe, Grinter, Scriven
    2. Lesley Albertson
    3. Hi All, Does anyone on this list have ancestors from Muchelney, Pitney, or Somerton in Somerset, UK? I have BAULCH ancestors - g-grandmother Elizabeth, b. 1833. But my present interest is a bit different, and that is finding other families who migrated to Oz from the same location. Is there anyone on the list with GRINTER ancestors? I'm interested in a GRINTER - BAULCH marriage which occurred here - apparently without either party being aware that their ancestors came from the same small village in Somerset, U.K. Cheers, Lesley (Originally from the Western District)

    2. Michelle
    3. Hi to everyone, I have seen many names that seem familiar - so many of my family originated from Belfast/Tower Hill area some remained and others headed north. I will have to get all the names in order so I can post to the list. With regards the boundaries - is there a list that covers the Mallee area or would that be considered the Western district? 1. [AUS-VIC-West-Dist] Mailing list boundaries????
    2. Fabre, Leone C
    3. I have had a number of queries relating to the boundaries of this list - and I am open to suggestions! As far as I know there is nothing else that covers any part of the West of Victoria - but how far do you all want it to reach? I had suggestions of west of Colac to the border, which is what I had in mind, but how far up will we take this list? ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++ I'd be very happy if the list (at this stage) went west of Colac to the border and then from the ocean, north to the NSW border. In other words the whole of the WESTERN AREA - rather than just the WESTERN DISTRICT. Would imagine that another list may start up in the near future for the WIMMERA and then those with interests further north than Hamilton, may take up the option of transferring! Sort of like the GEELONG and BELLARINE lists. There is no competition, just a mailing list for the area that suits best. Going by the vast number of people "subbing" to this list, would imagine that it would spill over to the areas of HORSHAM / WARRACKNABEAL / NHILL etc... My thoughts only!!! cheers, Leone

(2) My Missing McLean List is coming along fine; if you decide to either list a Missing McLEAN or register your interest in McLEAN research I invite you to list either your name as per the format set out at http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Canyon/6387//roll.html or your missing McLEAN as per the format set out at http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Canyon/6387/unconnected.html .
