Hi all, I am hoping I can find someone that may have done some research on Thomas Pringle Hannan born circa 1834 Ayrshire. Thomas Hannan & Margaret Colville were having children between 1857-1873 in the Cambell's Creek, Castlemaine, Euroa, Sandhurst, Raywood areas during those years, No marriage has been found in Victoria pre 1857, but in 1885 found Thomas Hannan born Ayrshire married Margaret Morgan born Cumberland. Does any one recognise this family? Thomas Hannan Died 1889 at Sandhurst aged 55 the son of Douglas Hamilton Hannan & Alice Simpson Borland who were married Kilmarnock Ayrshire 16th January 1832. Margaret Hannan I think died 1914 at Sunbury aged 85 parents Unknown. Any help would be very much appreciated. Robyn Down Portland Victoria Australia

Hello Listers I wonder if SKS would be able to do a look-up for me for the family of Mary Elizabeth (Polly) PRICE, daughter of Richard PRICE and Jane DRINKWATER. "Polly" was born 30 Sep. 1858 at Digby, Vic. I believe she married Thomas Alexander WEAVEN Son of Thomas WEAVEN and Christina BUTCHER, at Portland in 1876. "Polly" died 06 Oct. 1881 at Heywood, Vic. aged 23 yrs. I am trying to find the births, deaths and possible marriages of her 3 children, and any other descendants, of "Polly" and her Husband's WEAVEN, family. Thomas may have married again, possibly in the Omeo area, and may have more descendants in later years. I would be very grateful for a look-up for this family or if someone has them on their Family Tree I would love to hear from you. Lynne Price lprice@datafast.net.au

James (Jimmy) Reuben Little (the son of Mary Ann Deborah Sharrock and Francis Patterson Little) and his brother George Lesby Little apparently left the mines at Wonthaggi to live at Goodnight, NSW (near Swan Hill) where they grew grapes for the dried fruit market. They had Sharrock and Baulch family already living there. Also living at Goodnight were George Carter (son of William Carter and Susan Baulch) and his wife Deborah (sister of Mary Ann Deborah Sharrock mentioned above). I'd love to exchange info with anyone who knows more about these families at Goodnight or Wonthaggi. I'm also keen to exchange info with anyone who has family connections, information, photos etc on Goodnight, NSW or family buried at the nearby Tooleybuc Cemetery. Penny

Hello all I am interested in acquiring any information on John LOWRIE who came over from England to Portland (probably around the 1860s). He was married to Agnes ? and they eventually made their way to Echuca and the farmland areas. John worked as a labourer. Their daughter, and my gggrandmother Christina LOWRIE, was born around 1860 in Hamilton not far from Portland...they all must have all moved to Echuca as a young family. Christina married Robert DRAFFIN (b. 1850, Bailieborough, Cavan County, Ireland) in 1879. Kindest Regards Belinda Turvey
