Hi Dianne, The State Library used to produce the photos of individuals, they may still do so but they haven't answered my email as yet. If you send me the surnames of those you are interested in, I will see if they are on the list. If they are, you can then contact the State Library to order photos direct from them. cheers, Trish. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dianne Hughes" <bill.di@bigpond.net.au> To: <aus-vic-western-district@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 26, 2007 12:51 PM Subject: [AUS-VIC-WESTERN-DISTRICT] Pioneers Photographs > Trish, that is fantastic, why on earth doesn't the state library produce > them as single photos, surely it wouldn't cost all that much these days > with digital cameras. Hello Trish, What a wonderful find. I would very much appreciate if you could check out my great grandfathers - George Williams and Charles Porter both of whom arrived in Victoria in the early 1850's. kind regards, margaret brookes.
Hi Carol, Its an amazing piece of work isn't it? I thought I was the only one who had never heard of it, I thought I mustn't have been paying attention in class, but it seems like there are plenty of others who don't know about Mr Chuck's legacy. Trish, that is fantastic, why on earth doesn't the state library produce them as single photos, surely it wouldn't cost all that much these days with digital cameras. Is there any way of finding out the first names of the people mentioned? There are at lease three people who were early settlers in the Teesdale area as well as Skene who was the surveyor. I certainly wouldn't want a photo of the whole board but would love photos of the relevant gentleman. Dianne Hughes Teesdale
Trish, I would be interested in a look up of the name MORRELL. Thanks for posting.
