Hi Dean The reason why you couldn't find Lucy Kent Smith was because she was Lucy Kent Sturtzel at the time of her death. Must have snuck a marriage in there somewhere that you didn't know about. Seems she had a driver who was swilling his beer as he drove and crashed into a tree causing her to be thrown from the car and land on her head. He went for manslaughter. They found the beer jar hidden in the thistles after investigation. I have quite a comprehensive write up from the Dimboola Chronicle of Jan 5th 1922.
