Good Morning List, The August, 1999 issue of the journal of the Swan Hill Genealogical and Historical Society Inc. (online) has an article on The Postage History of Swan Hill. There is a reference to "Sylvesters Balranald line of coaches" from the Vic. Gazetteer 1879 which apparently operated between Swan Hill and Balranald and could very possibly refer to an ancestor of mine. Does anyone know where I might find something more on this coach line? Hi Beverly What about newspapers? I notice the newspapers I'm searching through at the moment had advertisements for coachlines and say exactly which route they travel, etc. Don't know about papers in that area but someone else will surely fill us in, and most are available at the State Library.
