Hello Friends, Some of you may be interested to hear that the State Records Office of New South Wales (Australia) has just added the Index to the 1841 Census to its ever expanding website http://www.records.nsw.gov.au/ Once there, click on "Services" (in the menu on the left hand side of the screen) ...... then on "On-line Services" ...... and finally click on "Index to the 1841 Census". Have fun and make good use of the % wildcard ...... for example, in the field of "Surname", I typed "Maddern" and didn't find any ...... but by typing "Ma%" I get all the names starting with "Ma" to search through ...... which will cover the possibility of a misspelling.
